Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve

Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve

We’ve supported the Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve (TRRCR) volunteer committee to maintain the 29.5-hectare bush and grassland reserve for more than 25 years. Funding for general maintenance and new projects has enabled the passionate volunteers to upkeep the reserve, ensuring it remains a place the community can enjoy.

The reserve was also a cause our people were excited to support as part of our volunteering program, with a team of our maintenance workers attending several volunteer days over the course of the partnership to construct fences, clean gutters, install bench seats and perform general maintenance activities to add to the reserve’s amenity.

TRRCR secretary John Langstaff said work completed during the volunteer day was done “professionally and courteously,” and had further strengthened the relationship between volunteers of the reserve and Loy Yang B.

“Visitors from the local communities, who include people exercising by walking and enjoying the connection with nature in a peaceful bush reserve which has many types of flora, will appreciate the works done by the team,” he said.

We are pleased to continue our support for the TRRCR for another three years from July 2024.
