Loy Yang B is a brown coal-fired power station in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley, approximately 160 km east of Melbourne.

Our two electricity generating units together provide up to 1,200MW of baseload power and supply approximately 20% of Victoria’s energy needs. 

We have operated since 1993 and are one of the lowest cost and most reliable generators in the National Electricity Market.
